The Hugo Stainless Steel Caffettiera is made of premium stainless steel and will add a touch of coastal elegance or nordic charm to your kitchen. Start your day with a beautifully balanced blend that pours seamlessly from this contemporary, quality design.

Simply fill the lower chamber with water to the safety valve, fill the basket with coffee and place over heat for 4-6 minutes. Yep, it's that simple! Find out more.
Stainless steel models: suitable for all stove types, including induction. Disassemble and clean with a gentle dishwashing liquid after use and leave to dry thoroughly.
Aluminium models: suitable for gas or electric stoves (not induction or ceremic). Disassemble and clean with warm water only after use and leave to dry thoroughly before re-assembling and storing.

What's the difference between Stainless Steel and Aluminium?
- Versatility of stovetop: Stainless Steel Caffettieras can be used on any type of stove, including induction and ceramic. Aluminium, however, is only suitable for gas or electric stovetops.
- Oxidisation & durability: Aluminium models are prone to oxidisation and limescale build up if not cared for properly
- Time to brew & heat retention: Aluminium models typically brew a minute or two faster than a Stainless Steel model. In saying that, a Stainless Steel Caffettiera will retain heat for longer once brewed ⚖️
- Aluminium models are lightweight and ideal for camping or travel.

How do I use the Caffettiera?
- Fill the lower water chamber with water, just up to the safety valve inside (but don't cover it)
- Rest the coffee basket on top of the lower water chamber, and fill with coffee that has been specially ground for stovetop use (about 2-3 heaped teaspoons). Never pack or press the coffee down, or try and wing it with a different type of grind.
- Screw the upper chamber on, and place over medium heat. When you hear a gurgling or hissing sound, open the lid to see if the coffee has filled to the top of the chamber and when it has, remove from heat.
- Enjoy! This dense and rich brew is invigorating on its own, or pairs beautifully with milk and cream.

About us
The who
We're sister-in laws from Sydney's Inner West and come from Italian and Greek households respectively. We both grew up with a Caffettiera on the stove every morning and were surprised to learn that relatively few Australian households did the same.
The why
We believe that the Caffettiera is hands down the best way to enjoy coffee at home. It produces thick and delicious coffee, it's quick, affordable and it's sustainable (we're looking at you, pod coffee). So we decided to give the old-school Caffettiera a make-over and make people fall in love with it all over again, or for the very first time!
